一、教学内容分析

本模块的阅读从学生的角度描述了不同教师的教学风格,说明了不同学生对不同教学风格的偏爱。旨在通过模块的学习使学生学会描述教师及校园生活,阅读教学的设置主要检测学生对课文的理解,培养对教师的深厚感情,建立平等,和谐,互动的新型师生关系。

二、教学目标

(一)语言知识目标

1. Arouse the students feelings to their teachers and get along well with their teachers.

三、学习者特征分析

学生对此话题内容比较熟悉,但该班学生英语基础知识不扎实,阅读能力普遍较差,但学生参与意识和表现欲较强,考虑到学生的这个特点,我主要采用启发诱导的方法,从易到难,从整体到细节精心设计教学活动,通过表达自己对喜欢老师的评价,增加学生的学习热情。同时加强学生对老师的认识与了解以便于更好的与老师相处。

四、教学策略选择与设计

以“启发式”教学为主,使用听说法、交际法引导学生熟悉话题,用查读法(快速阅读),讨论法寻找课文大意搜集和运用所学词汇、短语;对介绍教学风格的材料进行理解、分析、比较和总结;体现自主合作探究相结合。

五、教学重点及难点

2Get the students to learn different reading skills.

Enable the students to describe the teachers they like and tell the reasons.

Lead-in : Whats your first impression of the four teachers on the book?

 Observe and use own words to describe teachers with their own opinions.

Help ss learn to express with as many adjectives as possible.

Instruction 1: Read the passage quickly and answers the questions: who are concerned in this passage and what do they teach? 

 

 Skimming and answer the questions

Activate ss interest in the following study

 Instruction 2:

 Read the passage again and then catch the main idea of each paragraph.
     Para 1 Mrs. Li is kind, patient and tolerant, so she is liked by her students.
     Para 2 Mrs. Chen is too strict, but because her teaching is  very organized and clear, some students do like her.
     Para 3 Mr. Wu is amusing, energetic and he enjoys teaching, so he is very popular. 

Fast reading and get the main idea of each paragraph.

Enable ss to get the main idea of the passage 

Instruction 3

Answer the following questions:
    Who is a very good teacher but is serious and strict ?
    Which teachers explain things clearly?
Who is the most popular teacher?
Who is the kindest teacher?

Which teacher is the students most afraid of?  

Then the teacher call back the answers.

Instruction 4:

Read the passage again and fill the chart.

After finishing the chart, call someone to fill it on the blackboard.

Summarize the passage according to the following summary:

My first impression of Mrs. Li was that she was ____. But now, after two weeks the class really likes ____. She is ____ and ____ and ____ English
grammar so clearly that I can ____. She ____ making you feel stupid. I feel I
m going to ____ with her.
    Mrs. Chen is very ____ and ____ and doesn
t smile much. But her teaching is so well ____ and clear. So most of us really ____ her. I think Ill ____the exam with Mrs. Chen teaching me.
    Mr. Wu, who teaches us ____ is a ____ man. He is really amusing and ____ when we are getting ____.

七、教学评价设计

老师对小组的评价: 主动回答问题和到黑板前填表的同学可以为小组赢得一枚笑脸。

组内互评:组内成员主动多次承担任务带领大家解决为题的同学可以当本周的学习组长

自评:自己评价一堂课的收获,是否在规定的时间内完成老师布置的任务,是否积极参与到讨论中,是否把自己的问题已经解决,评价等级分为 good very good excellent 三个等级。
