一、教学目标
1.知识目标:使学生能掌握六种小动物的名称:monkey ,dog ,duck, panda, cat, rabbit.了解中西方国家的不同代表性动物。
2.技能目标:能够听懂一些指令,如:Act like a …,并能做出相应的动作,发展学生综合运用语言的能力。
3.情感目标: 培养学生热爱小动物、保护小动物的美好情感。激发学生学习英语的兴趣,调动学习积极性,在活动中培养学生的协作精神和竞争意识。
二、教学重点和难点
1.教学重点:
1)能听说、认读动物单词:monkey , dog, cat , duck, panda , rabbit.
2)能听懂简单的指示语,并能按指令模仿动物做出相应的动作。
2.教学难点:
1)让学生正确掌握6个动物名称单词的正确发音。
2)能基本说出四个国家的国名及这些国家的代表性动物,了解我国的国宝——熊猫(panda)。
三、教学步骤
Step 1 :Warming - up and Revision
T: Hello!
Ss: Hi!
T: Good morning boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning teacher .
T: How are you?
Ss: I’m fine ,thanks .
T: Do you like English songs?
Ss: Yes!
T: OK. Let’s sing a song : “Teddy Bear”.

【设计思路】 小学生好动、好表演,歌曲配上相应的简易动作,让学生在唱起来的同时动起来、演起来、乐起来,营造英语学习的热烈气氛。
2.T:I’ll divide you into four groups and see which group will be the best.
The best group can win a smile. (我们将分成四个小组,比一比,哪个小组表现得好就得一张笑脸。)Let’s see which group is the winner, OK?

Step 2 Presentation
1. T:Boys and girls. Today, there will be a special concert in the animal kingdom. (今天,动物王国里要举行一个特别的音乐会。) Let’s go and meet some new friends! Please watch and listen carefully and then tell what you see and what you hear to us. (请同学们仔细看,认真听,然后把你所见所闻告诉大家。) OK?

T: Now, please look at the screen.

【设计思路】 三年级的学生对动画片非常喜欢,在看之前教师让学生明确目标,带着问题去看,注意力更集中,有助于学生养成良好的学习习惯。我将《小学空中英语课堂》中本来放在后面的卡通片设计在最开始观看,我认为这时的观看是一个整体情境的呈现,也是本课教学重点——关于动物的单词的呈现,让学生一开始就对要学的内容有一个整体感知。
Step 3 Practice
1. T: Look! What’s this? (Showing Ss the toy rabbit and a word card.)
Ss: rabbit.
T: It’s a rabbit. Please read after Peter.

T: What colour is the rabbit?
Ss : White.
T: Yes, it’s a white rabbit. (very good)
T: Who can act like a rabbit?(hand up)
T: What does a rabbit like?
Ss: carrot.
T: Yes, a rabbit likes carrot.
2. Teach the words “dog , panda, cat” in the same method.
3. Play game.
T: Boys and girls, you are so clever. Now, each group I will give you a name! Group A, you’re rabbit. Group B, you’re monkey. Group C, you’re panda. Group D, you’re cat. Group E ,you’re dog. Group F, you’ re duck . Now, Group A, what is your name? ( Listen to the students.)
Group A: Rabbit.
T:Group B, what is your name?
Group B: Monkey.
T: Group C, what is your name?
Group C: Panda.
T:Group D, what is your name?
Group D: Cat.

T: Good ! you are so clever! When I call your name, you will stand up and speak it loudly! OK?

【设计思路】 通过以上利用《小学空中英语课堂》教学单词的过程,从听觉、视觉刺激学生的大脑皮层,在音、形、意等方面感知新单词,然后通过动作模仿活动一边在动觉上继续刺激学生的大脑皮层,一边把学生引入到单词形成的小语境中接受语言的潜移默化。
Step 4 Production
1. Play games
NO.1 (Show the animal cards on the board.)
T: Let’s do a competition, OK? I’ll choose one student from each group. Let’s do the competition like this: If I say “dog”, you must run to the board, touch the “dog card” and read the word loudly. Let’s see who is the first and who is the winner.

T: I act, you guess, OK?

Ss: Rabbit!
T: Oh, you are the fastest. Now you come here and act .The others guess.

Teacher takes out the animal headgears with their backs to Ss.
T: Can you guess the names of animals? The fastest will the winner and can wear the headgear. OK?

2. At the end of the game, the six “animals” introduce themselves like this: “Hello! My name’s ...I’m a ... I like ...Nice to meet you!” The others give the responses.
【设计思路】 这些寓教于乐,具有挑战性的游戏,使学生在轻松愉快而又紧张激烈的气氛中边玩边说边巩固了对所学内容的记忆。同时,在活动中发展了学生综合运用新、旧知识组织对话完成一定交际任务的能力。
Step 5 Culture
1. T: Pandas are peculiar to China and they are very precious.
(Panda 是中国的代表性动物,更是中国的国宝。)
T: Please look at the map and find out the location of China.
(请大家看地图,找出中国的位置。)
2. T: Do you know the peculiar animals in other countries?
(你们还知道其他国家的代表性动物吗?)
