指导思想与理论依据

本堂课以四位老师关于电脑的故事(观点)为主线,创设了四个与电脑相关的情境。在这四个所创设的情境中从而开展词汇复习。由于是用学生所熟知的四位老师的图片做导入,从而引起了学生的极大的学习兴趣和好奇心。所以本堂课是以学生为主体、教师为主导的教学理念为依据,结合情景教学法。

教材分析

本单元的中心话题是“电脑”,它的“topics”有”Information technology””History and basic knowledge of computers” ”Robots”。所以本堂词汇复习课也是围绕这些话题展开,侧重于电脑的基本知识及信息技术给我们生活所带来的变化。

学情分析

1.学生认知特点

心理学研究表明,中学生的身心发展是有规律的。认识规律、遵循规律和掌握规律是搞好教育工作的前提。依据学生身心发展的特点设计教学活动,有利于提高教学质量。高中阶段学生初步具备了以理性思维为特征的抽象思维能力,以往以感性认识为主的学习方式以及机械记忆、机械训练的教学要求,已经难以激发学生强烈的好奇心和学习兴趣。

2.学生现状

面对普通中学的专科班学生的厌学、词汇量低下、学习能力差等一列问题,用传统的词汇复习方式(教师先讲解中心词汇,然后呈现例子,最后是大量的机械性操练。)已难以激起学生学习的欲望,更不用说实现有效的教学。所以,我们需要从能激起学生学习兴趣、树立他们学习信心等方面入手,让他们动起来,学起来,做起来。

  教学目标

 1、语言知识目标

1)掌握以下词汇:

calculate, universal, logical, logically, technology , technological, revolution, artificial, intelligence, intelligent, solve, from—on, personal, personally, total, totally, explore, goal, human race, download, virus, signal, type, electronic, appearance, with the help of.

2)能辨析并正确运用以下词汇:

    as a result/ as a result of/result from/result in; anyhow/somehow; in a way/ in the way/ by the way/ on the way; watch over/ go over/ turn over/look over; arise/ rise/ arise/arouse; do with/deal with.

3)能分清形容词和副词的用法。

2、语言技能目标

1)能再语境中正确运用词汇。

2)能用所学的词汇写出本单元第一篇文章的总结。

3、学习策略目标

通过多种多样的课堂活动,提高学生对英语表达的兴趣和信心。

4、情感态度目标

    通过与电脑相关的各种情景的创设,使学生了解更多的电脑知识,培养学生创新理念。

5、文化意识目标

通过与电脑相关的各种话题的学习,使学生对电脑各种知识产生浓厚的兴趣,培养用英语来表达各种相关词汇,从而培养学生的用英语文化交际能力。

Step 1. lead-in

T: Nowadays, the computer is a hot topic. So there is a discussion about computers among our teachers. (at the same time, the teacher presented the photos of their teachers of some subjects.)

设计意图:通过呈现几个教师的照片,一下子唤起学生的兴趣,从而自然而然的引入话题。

Step 2. Words revision

Story one : T: First, comes Miss. Wuthe teacher of your computer science. Here is your view on computers and you need fill in the blanks.

   I am a high school teacher of computer science. __________, I am greatly interested in _______ machines. I teach the students about the different ________ of computer and their functions. Of course they learn how to ________ useful information from the Internet. I also train them to think ________ about the information to choose. T: 对。副词可以修饰整个句子(这是通常放在句首);还可以修饰形容词、动词和副词。

这些形容词的作用是什么?

Ss: useful做定语修饰information; aware happy做表语与系动词构成系表结构。

T: Correct the following sentences.

Ss: “arise” can be used to replace “happen”

T: arise Vi. “产生,出现,发生。主要用于问题、困难等不好的事情的产生、发生、出现。易混淆的单词有----?

Ss: arouse; rise; raise

T: 我们除了从意思上加以区别, 还要注意它们是及物还是不及物的。(教师板书:词汇辨析1arise: Vi. 产生,发生;arouse vt. 唤醒,引起;rise vi. .升起,上升;raise vt “举起,提高,饲养)Now, finish the following exercise with the four words.

设计意图:通过这个故事的呈现,进行了词汇巩固和复习。同时,利用这个故事,再一次复习了形容词和副词在句中的运用,这对学生在改错时很有帮助。

T: It’s Mr. Yang’s turn. As your physical teacher, he likes to use some verbs to express himself. What’s the meaning of those words “calculate\explore\signal\solve” (教师板书这四个单词)

设计意图:通过这个故事的呈现,首先进行了几个动词巩固和复习。同时,复习了其他几个重要词汇。

设计意图:通过看图说话这种形式,激起学生学习的兴趣,又很直观的激起学生的固有词汇知识,从而达到词汇复习的目的。

设计意图:通过故事的呈现,复习了重要词汇,并让学生自然而然的从中归纳出这样的结构:from then on ----as time went by---- as a result----,从而为作业的完成做好铺垫。

T: Firstly, you should write a summary of the passage of unit 3 in the third person including the following structure:

Secondly,  translate your summary into Chinese.

设计意图:通过对文章的概括,除了进一步的复习和巩固词汇外,还可以再一次的对课文进行回顾。

教学反思

针对本堂课,市教研员潘老师进行了详细的点评。肯定了以“四位老师关于电脑的故事(观点)”作为主线穿插词汇教学,能有效调动学生的学习积极性,是学生积极加入课堂。同时,在课堂中,给予学生充分的时间进行思考,不会为了搞课堂形式而忽略了课堂的有效性,能让学生真正的融入课堂,真正掌握本节课的目标词汇。

在给予肯定课堂教学活动的同时,潘老师也指出了以下的问题。为了实现目标词汇的运用,教师个人在创设情境时,受教师的母语影响,常忽略句子的“地道”性和句子之间的“逻辑性”(如第2位老师的故事),不利于教学。针对本章的主线,设置的四位老师关于电脑的故事(观点)中,第三位老师是采用“看图说话”形式来表达她的观点,称不上故事,只能算是个人的观点,这与幻灯片上标明的“story”并不符合,缺乏一定的严谨性。在作业布置方面,面太广,没有针对性,在输入和输出方面不能进行有效的连接,使得教学效果不能呈现最大化。

结合潘老师的建议和我个人的课后反思,可以从以下几个方面改进:

1、充分注重学生的基础和兴趣点,创设学生感兴趣的话题和语境。但是,在语境创设过程中,一定要严谨并科学,可多参考英语网站。

2. 课文文本是一个可挖掘的材料,词汇教学可以充分的挖掘课文文本,也可给予文本进行适度改编,让学生又多了一次回顾课文的机会。

3. 要让作业更有针对性,使之能成为教学的有效补充。针对本堂课,作业可改为:让学生从课文文本中摘写他们感兴趣的句子,组成一篇小短文,并对其进行翻译。
