历届高考对when的命题思路透析

when的运用与高考

1.When 可以用作从属连词,引导时间状语从句。意思是当。。。。时候从句的谓语动作可以是延续的,也可是非延续的。从句多用一般现在时、一般过去时、现在完成时。

1)---- Can I join your clubdad

 ---- You can when you _____ a bit older.

   a/  get   b/  will get    c/  are getting    d/  will have got

2) Tom ___ into the house when no one _____

   a/  slipped , was looking          b/  had slipped,  looked

   c/  slipped,  had looked           d/  was slipping , looked

3) He said when he grew up, he would become a glorious teacher.

4) when he has finished his homework, he will go there with us .

2.When 可以引导时间状语从句,一。。。。就

1)we will stand up when the teacher comes into the classoom.

2)I’ ll tell him about it when he comes back.

3.When 可以引导让步壮从句,虽然, 可是

1)Professor wang walks to work when he might ride.

2)He failed the match when he had the chance of winning it.

4.When 可以引导原因状语从句既然”( since , now that)

1)why do you want a new job, ____ you have got such a good one ?

a/  that   b/ where    c/  which    d/  when

2) how can I help them to understand it when they won’t listen to me ?

5.When 可以做如果。要是解,引导条件状语从句,表示对某事是否发生有把握,而 if 对某事的发生无把握。

1)How can you hope for mercy when you show none ?

2)Tell us when you need books. (=== I am sure you need books )

3)Tell us if you need books .( === perhaps you need books.)

6.When 可以做在那时主句用过去进行时、过去完成时、或”was/ were about to do sth……when ….”结构. ( and then,  at that time )

1)Last night I was about to go to bed when the phone rang.

2)I was cooking in the kitchen when someone knocked at the door.

3)He had just finished the book when supper was served.

( 他刚刚读完着本书,这是晚饭端上来了 )

7.When 可以用做关系副词,引导定语从句。

1)I shall never forget those days ____I lived in the countryside with the farmers, _____ had a great effect on my life.

   a/  that; which   b/  when ; which   c/  which; that   d/ when; who

2)It was an exciting moment for these football fans this years, ____ for the first time in years their team won the world cop.

    a/ that    b/ while   c/ which     d/  when 

3)Then the great day came ______ he was to march past the palace in the parade.

   a/ where   b/ since   c/  when    d/ till

4)The film brought the hours back to me ____ I was taken good care of in that far-away village.

   a/ until   b/ that  c/  when   d/ where

8.When 也可以引导名词性从句,在从句中即起连接作用同时也作状语。

 1What I asked him is _____ the story happened.

    a/ when and what  b/ which and where  c/ what and where  d/ when and where 

2)I remember ____ this used to be a quiet village.

   a/ when    b; how    c/ where    d/ what 

3)I have no idea when they will come.

4)The question is when they will deliver the clothes we have ordered.

9.在强调结构中, 尽管强调的是时间状语或时间状语从句,引导词仍然是 that

1It was about 400 years ago ______ the first clock with a face and an hour   hand was made.

   a/  that   b/ until  c before   d/ when 

10.可以构成 固定结构。意为一……就”  (hardly...when...)

Hardly had he done his homework when he went to bed .

He had hardly got to the lab when he set out to do the experiment .
