现在以人教版高中英语必修3Unit4 Astronomy: the science of the stars
中的Warming-up 和Reading一课为例。本人在教学设计中采用了以下步骤：
Step1 Lead-in activity
T: How many planets are there in the solar system?What are they?这个学生课前已经预习过了，而且地理课上也学过，大家都能回答，再领读这八大行星的英文。
然后我把事先准备好的银河系的图片贴在黑板上，再提以下问题：
T: Of these eight planets, which is the smallest one? which is the largest one? which is the only one where life exists?
大家都能回答是地球，就顺势引出了今天的主题
T: Have you ever heard some stories about how life began on the earth? In the western countries, the God created humans in 7 days. In our country, we also have some stories like that. Do you know these legends? I'll give you 2 minutes ,discuss in groups of 3.
这一活动是让学生进行小组讨论，引起学生的兴趣，大家都很有热情讲诉关于地球起源的一些传说：盘古开天辟地，女娲补天造人等等。我允许他们用中文表达，然后我用英文写在黑板上，这样班里的课堂气氛就高昂了。
Step2 Reading
T: Do you believe these stories? Are they based on science? They are just legends. In this unit, we'll learn something more scientific.
此处是关键，学生都知道这些传说是不科学的，所以很自然让学生接受这个单元的主题；地球的起源和生物的衍生。接下去就是阅读任务，因为这篇文章属于比较难理解的，第一个任务让学生总结每段的大意，我降低了难度，就是让他们连线。
Para.1 The formation of the earth
Para.2 The importance of water for life
Para.3 A widely accepted theory about the formation of the universe
Para.4 The arrival of humans and their effects on the earth
Para.5 The development of plants and animals on the earth
这个任务就是让学生对全文有一个总体的了解，然后接下去就是对文章细节的阅读。
我为学生做了一个表格，给他们10分钟填起来，此处还是比较有难度的。我是按照时间顺序来的，能帮学生更好的找到答案。
但我还是高估了学生的能力，很多同学有几个空填不出来，可能时间不够还是课前预习的不够熟练。接下去是针对文章最后一段人类的所作所为的一个讨论：
Step3 Discussion
Now human beings appeared on the Earth. Do people take good care of the earth? What problems have been caused by humans to the earth? What is the result ? We humans do more and more harm to our earth.How can we protect our earth and make it a better place to live? As a student, what little things can we do for the earth?Let’s take part in the activities to save the earth!
学生踊跃发言，提出非常棒的主意，我也深有感触，我觉得学生的思维非常发散的，这样的讨论应该更多地进行，培养学生的发散思维和合作意识。
接下去我准备了两首关于地球保护的小诗，能陶冶学生的情操，让学生一起朗读感受一下。

Step5 Homework
1. Collect more information about the development of life and make a poster with your group members.
2. Read and retell the passage.
第一个作业让学生制作以小组合作的方式制作生命的进化，以一种比较有趣的方式对今天所学的文章进行总结，并能培养小组合作精神。
第二个作业是让学生准备复述文章，这样对文章才会有深刻的印象。
今天这节课的目的：一是让学生对天文科学有更多的了解并激发学生对其的兴趣；二是掌握不同的阅读技巧；三是让学生从身边做起，保护好我们的地球。
我觉得这节课总体还行，环环紧扣，过渡自然，时间安排比较合理，学生也很热情的参与到所有的活动中。难度的话还是比较适中，环节设计的也不是很复杂，大部分学生能跟上我的脚步。因为我们学校提倡使用导学案，我就没有利用多媒体进行教学。不过我觉得还是应该采用多媒体，毕竟这篇文章是讲天文学，借用多媒体的效果应该会更好。活动量设计得恰到好处，不会让学生觉得很多很烦。就是这节课有一处我不是很满意，就是在第二环节，做填表格这项任务时，一部分学生有些空不会填，我在想到底是任务太难还是学生没有认真去做，也有可能课前预习的不够好。甚至有个别同学单词都不会读，所以以后上类似文章比较难理解的，一定事先要让学生把单词和课文熟读。
